HIGH PERFORMANCE EMI/RFI FILTER

Switching power supplies are being used more frequently because they conserve energy. But they generate their own RFI noise. These RFI power line filters have been developed to reduce this conducted noise to acceptable limits. These filters provide high insertion loss for both line to ground and line to line emissions throughout the frequency range. They have lower leakage current and are also suitable for non-patient medical equipment, and portable equipments.

These filters are designed to provide superior common mode and differential mode attenuation for most of the digital equipment over the frequency range of 50KHz to 150KHz.(particularly Switching power supplies and sensitive equipment). These are cost effective solution for very noisy equipment that must meet conducted and emission control limits and is susceptible to RFI.

These filters combine with line to ground interference rejection filters with additional circuitry to reduce line to line noise and transients. These filters will protect equipment from malfunctioning due to conducted interference coming into the equipment from line (susceptibility). They will also provide needed noise suppression to allow most equipment to meet the conducted emission limits. They are particularly effective when applied in equipment using switching power supplies, SCR's for emission control.
